 On October 22-23, 2023, the Prosecutor General of the State of Qatar, Mr. Dr. Issa bin Saad Al-Jufari Al-Nuaimi, and his accompanying delegation visited the Republic of Tajikistan on a working visit.

  On October 23, at the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tajikistan, a meeting was held between the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan, Rahmon Yusuf Ahmadzod, and the Prosecutor General of the State of Qatar, Mr. Dr. Issa bin Saad al-Jufari al-Nuaimi.

The meeting began with paying tribute to the contribution of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the Emir of the State of Qatar His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Ali Soni, in the development of legal cooperation between the two countries. During the meeting, issues of further cooperation in the fields of countering radicalism, extremism and international terrorism, human trafficking, drug trafficking and other manifestations of transnational organized crime were discussed.

As a result of the meeting, three international agreements were signed - on the extradition of criminals, on the provision of legal assistance in criminal cases and on the return of convicts to further serve their sentences.

Also, within the framework of interdepartmental cooperation and on the basis of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the State of Qatar dated 2019, the parties reached an agreement so that the capabilities of the Center for the Rule of Law and Anti- Corruption under the Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Qatar and the College of Law of Qatar University at the Qatar Foundation, as well as the specialized anti-terrorism prosecutor's office of Qatar will be used to increase the intellectual potential of employees of the Center for the Prevention of Extremism, Terrorism and Cybercrimes of the Prosecutor General's Office of Tajikistan and the development of its infrastructure.
